Expert Conference on Doing Business in Spain
Tedalian participated as a guest speaker at a conference focused on business internationalisation, export development and the practical aspects of operating in the Spanish market.
Tedalian Enterprise Services experts are regularly invited to participate in conferences and business events dedicated to the international expansion of Polish companies. Drawing on extensive experience in delivering internationalisation projects and working directly with manufacturers developing their operations in Spain, Tedalian shares practical expertise in regulatory matters, sales, business development and the cultural differences that shape Polish-Spanish business relationships.
One such event was the “Doing Business in Spain” conference, organised by Business in Małopolska under the patronage of the Małopolska Region. Tedalian was invited to participate as a Spanish market expert, with responsibility for preparing and delivering a presentation on the practical aspects of establishing and developing business operations in Spain.
During the presentation, we outlined the complete process of entering the Spanish market — from selecting the appropriate form of business presence, through tax, administrative and organisational requirements, to sales development, distribution network building and the development of a long-term internationalisation strategy. Participants gained insight into practical solutions used by companies that have successfully established and expanded their operations in Spain.
A significant part of the presentation focused on obligations arising from Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations. Topics included producer registration with the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), the role of the Authorised Representative, reporting obligations relating to packaging and electrical and electronic equipment, and the practical steps required to ensure compliance with Spanish environmental regulations.
The conference also addressed the key elements of successful commercial expansion into the Spanish market, including distribution network development strategies, cooperation models with local business partners, logistics organisation, B2B sales development and best practices for conducting business negotiations in Spain. Particular attention was given to cultural differences that influence the sales process, the development of trust and the establishment of long-term business relationships.
The presentation drew on Tedalian’s hands-on experience from projects delivered for companies in the industrial, agricultural, technology, food and e-commerce sectors. This enabled participants to gain practical insights supported by real-life examples of market entry and internationalisation projects successfully implemented by Tedalian.
