“Doing Business in Spain” Conference for Entrepreneurs from the Małopolska Region
Tedalian Enterprise Services participated as an expert speaker at a conference dedicated to business internationalisation and the practical aspects of operating in the Spanish market.
Tedalian Enterprise Services was invited by Kraków Technology Park (KPT) to deliver an expert presentation as part of the “Doing Business in Spain” conference, aimed at entrepreneurs interested in expanding their operations into one of Europe’s largest markets. The objective of the presentation was to provide practical guidance on entering the Spanish market and share knowledge gained through Tedalian’s experience in delivering internationalisation projects for companies across a wide range of industries.
The presentation covered the complete market entry process — from selecting the most appropriate business model and addressing tax, organisational and administrative requirements to building sales structures and establishing a sustainable long-term presence in Spain. Particular attention was given to comparing different expansion models, including direct exports, cooperation with local distributors, the use of commercial agents, establishing a representative office and incorporating a Spanish subsidiary. The advantages and limitations of each approach were discussed, together with the circumstances in which each model can be most effective.
A significant part of the presentation focused on the administrative and legal aspects of conducting business in Spain. Participants were introduced to procedures for obtaining Spanish Tax Identification Numbers (NIF) and digital certificates, registering foreign investments, incorporating companies and establishing permanent business structures. The presentation also addressed practical aspects of dealing with Spanish public authorities and highlighted some of the most common challenges faced by foreign companies entering the Spanish market.
The conference also provided an opportunity to present best practices for successful internationalisation. Participants gained insights into developing distribution channels, organising logistics, planning B2B and e-commerce sales strategies and leveraging local commercial partners during the expansion process. The presentation also examined key factors influencing export success, including adapting the product offering to local market expectations, competitive analysis, pricing strategy, supply chain management and the use of modern technologies in international sales.
One of the key areas covered was the introduction of new obligations under Spanish Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations. Tedalian’s experts explained the process of appointing an Authorised Representative, registering producers with the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, joining the relevant producer responsibility organisations and preparing mandatory environmental declarations. Participants received practical guidance on how to address regulatory requirements before placing their products on the Spanish market.
The presentation was based on real projects delivered by Tedalian for companies operating in the industrial, food, technology and e-commerce sectors. This practical approach enabled participants to explore concrete examples of market entry strategies, distribution network development and successful sales expansion in Spain.
