Webinar “Spain as an Export Market” for Companies from the Świętokrzyskie Region

Tedalian Enterprise Services was invited by the Marshal’s Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship to deliver an expert webinar dedicated to export development opportunities in the Spanish market.

The objective of the event was to provide companies from the Świętokrzyskie region with practical guidance on entering the Spanish market, identify promising commercial opportunities for Polish manufacturers, and explain the key legal, logistical and organisational requirements associated with developing export activities in Spain. The webinar was prepared on the basis of current market data, Tedalian’s project experience and many years of hands-on work supporting Polish companies in developing sales in the Spanish market.

During the webinar, Tedalian’s expert presented an overview of the Spanish economy and food market, analysing its size, structure, growth dynamics and key consumer trends. Particular attention was given to sectors offering strong potential for Polish exporters, including food products, confectionery, snacks, plant-based products and functional foods. The presentation also addressed consumer behaviour, the growing importance of private-label products and opportunities for positioning premium products in the Spanish market.

A significant part of the webinar focused on the structure of distribution channels in Spain. Participants were introduced to the specific characteristics of cooperation with retail chains, regional distributors, importers, the HoReCa sector and e-commerce platforms. The advantages and limitations of different sales models were discussed, together with recommended market-entry strategies depending on product category, company size and long-term export development objectives.

The legal and regulatory section addressed the requirements applicable to companies exporting goods and services to Spain, including food labelling regulations, obligations arising from the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework, producer registration procedures and the fundamental requirements for conducting business activities in the Spanish market. The practical implications of new environmental regulations for foreign exporters placing products on the Spanish market were also explained.

Another important part of the webinar focused on risk management in international trade. Tedalian’s experts discussed intra-EU transaction principles, payment security mechanisms, the use of business intelligence and credit information services, the importance of Incoterms, and practical methods for reducing commercial risk when working with foreign counterparties. Participants also received practical recommendations on how to establish credible and sustainable business relationships with Spanish partners.

The webinar also covered modern marketing strategies supporting international expansion. Topics included digital marketing, content marketing, storytelling, the use of artificial intelligence, packaging design and customer experience in the digital environment. The growing role of e-commerce in export development was also discussed, together with the key factors influencing the effectiveness of online sales in Spain.

The final section of the webinar presented a practical methodology for building distribution networks and acquiring B2B customers. Participants were introduced to the process of identifying prospective business partners, conducting targeted B2B prospecting, organising business meetings and developing cooperation with local importers and distributors. Tedalian’s experts also presented recommended sales organisation models and discussed the most common barriers to entering the Spanish market, together with practical approaches to overcoming them.
